Tampa Bay Business Journal: Scooter company Spin unveils first Tampa docking station at Epicurean Hotel

San Francisco-based company Spin, one of the four e-scooter companies operating in Tampa, installed a docking station powered by Swiftmile at Epicurean Hotel on Friday, the first example of an e-scooter operator partnering with a hotel, according to Spin’s news release.

“We bring order to chaos,” Swiftmile CEO and President Colin Roche told the Tampa Bay Business Journal, explaining how the station allows scooters to be anchored in place rather than easily tipped over and charges them so users will not run out of power. The stations are also meant to reduce sidewalk congestion and are ADA compliant.
