San Carlos, CA (June 28, 2021) Swiftmile, the pioneer in micromobility charging infrastructure and technology solutions, announced today that veteran technology and financial executive Michael Grillo has joined their team as Chief Financial Officer. The role was previously held by Leo Vera, who now will serve as the company’s President.

Grillo joins Swiftmile with more than three decades of experience in finance, strategy and operations, most recently working as an advisor to a range of startups and mid-sized tech enterprises. Grillo has served in multiple C-suite roles throughout his career, including his time as the COO of horticulture firm Elite Garden, and as the CFO of sleep tech firm Ergomotion Inc. After years as an informal advisor to Swiftmile, Grillo will leverage his executive leadership to identify new financial relationships and revenue streams that can support Swiftmile’s growth and drive market demand.

“We’re at an incredible inflection point for electrifying transportation of all forms, but achieving that shift requires the right infrastructure,” said Swiftmile CFO Michael Grillo. “Swiftmile’s Mobility Hubs are helping cities and property owners unlock the promise of micromobility today, and I’m eager to bring this infrastructure to new markets and partners.”

“Since launching in 2015, it’s hard to remember a time when Michael Grillo was not cheering on our team from the sidelines,” said Swiftmile President Leo Vera. “His support has been pivotal in Swiftmile’s growth over the years, and it’s an honor to pass him the CFO torch.” Vera will focus on market expansion and execution in his new role as President.
